It was my first time being the sister for my friend's wedding. Never thought that it will be so fun and exciting. Woked up real early to prepare for the day. The games were being executed well and the groom and "brothers" were really sporting and this made the games more fun and enjoyable.
Me and Su anne were preparing the props the night before which was meant to torture the "brothers"... I was foolish enough to try out the props on myself and that leave an ugly mark on my lips. Tried very hard to cover that mark with my lipstick the next day.... *sweat* It was really a very silly thing to do.
We went to "visit" two more houses after leaving Yishun and received ang bao at each stop.. hahaha for a moment I thought I was celebrating Chinese New Year. LOL The wedding was held at Marriot and we headed there at around 10am. Being a Singaporean, it was my first time checking in to a local hotel. haha
Oh oh! Nearly forget to mention about the "Xin Niang Che"... the couple rented a cool convertible car as their Xin Niang Che.... cool~~~
It was also my first time to witness a solemnisation ceremony and my first time to catch hold of the bride's flower bouquet. In fact... I didn't really catch hold of it... it flew at a speed of approximately 10km/hr and hit hard onto my chest.. *ouch!* After that lovely little accident.... there comes a series of questions and congrats.... With that bouquet of flowers.. I'm expected to be the next to get married... -_-lll *stress*
The wedding was really a touching one. The couple walked into the grand ballroom through the sword barriers and the groom carried the bride up to the stage at the last barrier. The groom sang "Forever Love" which he had been practising for weeks just for that wedding. Awww.... isn't that sweet? My girl friends were so touched by him that they cried.....
Will I have such a sweet wedding too? Envy Envy Envy! Heehee
Really glad to have the chance to participate in this wedding... Wish Mr and Mrs Kenneth Tan to have a happily ever after.
